Los Angeles Team

Todd Gelfand, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Todd Gelfand

CEO

Todd graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. After college, Todd joined the international accounting firm Coopers & Lybrand ("C&L"), where he spent the following nine years. He gained significant experience in international taxation through two years spent in the London offices of C&L. In 1989, Todd and his wife relocated to Los Angeles, where he joined GR&F.

Todd Gelfand currently serves as managing partner, overseeing all branch offices. His clients are among the most successful musicians, actors, writers, directors, sports personalities and high net worth individuals in the entertainment industry.

Todd and his wife Doreen have three children. He is actively involved with several charities including the Alzheimer's Association. He enjoys baseball, tennis, outdoor activities including skiing and hiking and in 2007 he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. He lives in Santa Monica, California.

Richard 'Rick' Mozenter, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Richard "Rick" Mozenter

Rick Mozenter joined the Los Angeles office of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GR&F) in 1991 and was made partner in 1998. Prior to joining GR&F, he was employed for eight years by the international accounting firm of Ernst and Young. Rick graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1983.

Rick is responsible for managing the business and financial affairs of high net worth clients in all aspects of the entertainment business, with a special focus in the music business. His roster of clients includes international touring artists, singer/songwriters, music producers and record labels, as well as athletes, film personalities and industry executives. Rick also oversees the firm's human resources department.

Rick resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Tammy and their two daughters. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. In his leisure time he enjoys hiking, swimming and playing the guitar.

William 'Bill' Harper Jr., C.P.A. / P.F.S., Los Angeles

William "Bill" Harper Jr.

Bill Harper joined the Los Angeles office of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GR&F) directly after graduating in 1979 from the University of Southern California, where he majored in accounting. Bill continued his schooling while working at GR&F, obtaining his C.P.A. in 1982. He was made partner in 1987.

Bill's roster of high-profile clients includes classic rock groups, movie and television personalities and industry executives. He provides his clients with management of their business and financial affairs, as well as providing for their special needs, such as tour accounting or special acquisitions. Bill provides sound economic advice with a goal towards their long term financial well-being. He also oversees the firm's computer technology and tax department personnel.

Bill resides in Los Angeles with his two children, Allison and Emily. For his leisure, he enjoys golf and swimming. He belongs to several professional societies: the AICPA, CSCPA and the University of Southern California Accounting Circle. He is a board member and the treasurer of Friends of Golf, Inc. (FOG), a charitable organization established in 1979 to create opportunities for young golfers and provide financial assistance to school golf programs around the country.

Jeff Gillman, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Jeff Gillman joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman LLP in the New York office in 1989, transferring to the Los Angeles office in 1996. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1981 with an accounting degree and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Jeff provides guidance on short term and long term financial goals and advises on state, federal and international entertainment tax matters. He oversees accounting operations for the tours of some of the most popular and top grossing musical artists today. Jeff's clients include individuals associated with the motion picture industry, musicians, athletes, composers, high net worth individuals, up and coming bands and young actors.

Jeff lives in Calabasas with his wife and their 3 children.

Tyson Beem, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Tyson Beem joined the Los Angeles office of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GR&F) in 1998 shortly after graduating from the University of Southern California. Tyson obtained his C.P.A. license in 2003 and was named a partner in 2012.

Mr. Beem's diversified roster of clients includes recording artists/performers, singer/songwriters, digital influencers, athletes, composers, directors, producers, actors, writers and entertainment industry executives. With a focus on immediate and specific client needs, he encourages long term financial independence and success through tailored day-to-day transactional needs, foreign and domestic tax planning, tour accounting, asset acquisition and business growth.

Tyson lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 2 sons. He is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of CPAs, the Motion Picture and Television Fund and is actively involved with the preschool his children attend and his alma mater, USC, including the Greek System and as an advisor to the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta.

Adriane Hibbert, ???, Los Angeles

Adriane Hibbert is a partner of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, LLP and has been with the firm for over 20 years. As a business manager, Adriane oversees the business and financial affairs of her clients, which include musicians, touring clients, actors, producers, directors, music composers and songwriters.

Adriane is a 1986 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Adriane and her husband Toney live in the Granada Hills area where they are very active in their community. Together with their 2 children, they enjoy traveling, sports and golf.

David Jackel, C.P.A., Los Angeles

David Jackel

Managing Director

David Jackel is one of the original founders of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GR&F"), having worked at the firm since inception. Among his clients in the field of music are recording artists, songwriters and publishing companies. His roster also includes renowned actors, producers, directors and screenwriters.

David became a partner in 1973. In addition to the day-to-day management of his clients' business and financial affairs, he has been directly involved with the settlement of participation and royalty examinations for his clients.

A graduate of Brooklyn College with a BS in accounting, David has been a CPA since 1973 and is a member of both the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs. He is also involved with community services and has served as president of a local chapter of The City of Hope. David and his wife, Dani, currently reside in Sherman Oaks, California. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. In addition to traveling, David's hobbies include golf, woodworking and model building.

Cary MacMiller, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Cary MacMiller joined the Los Angeles office of Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman in 2005. From 1999 through 2005, he was associated with Breslauer and Rutman LLC and was a partner since 2000. From 1992 through 1999, he was a controller and CFO of various apparel companies. Prior to that time, he worked at Ernst and Young where he attained the level of manager prior to leaving the firm in 1992.

Cary's roster of clients consists of movie and television personalities, industry executives, musicians and financial executives. He provides his clients with management of their business and personal financial affairs, as well as assisting them with any special purchases or construction projects. He works with his clients to ensure that their long term financial goals and planning are met.

Cary graduated from California State University ? Northridge in 1985 with a degree in accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and CalCPA Society. Cary resides in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Amber and their three children. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, travel and coaching his children's sports teams.

Melissa Morton, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Melissa Morton joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman in 2003 as a staff accountant. She prepared tax returns, managed various business management projects for her clients and helped her clients grow their businesses before becoming a partner in the firm in 2016.

Melissa's clients include artists/performers, singers/songwriters, directors, writers, actors, entrepreneurs and YouTube and social media influencers. Striving to be more than a trusted advisor, Melissa takes the time to build strong professional relationships that inspire confidence and free the client to focus on their creative life. Her commitments to client service and firm values have enabled her to grow her practice.

Melissa is a graduate from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in Administration. She resides in the South Bay with her husband and two children.

David Phillips, C.P.A., Los Angeles

David Phillips

Managing Director

David Phillips is the supervising partner of examinations for the Los Angeles office of Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman. He has been with the firm since 1992. During this time he has specialized in the direction, supervision and execution of royalty examinations on a worldwide basis.

David's experience includes examination of record labels, music publishing companies, joint venture accountings and merchandising companies, as well as intangible asset valuations and financial due diligence procedures. David also directs a staff dedicated to royalty administration for music publishers and independent record labels. His demonstrated abilities as a highly skilled examiner have resulted in his appointment to partner overseeing all examination activities for Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman's home office in Los Angeles.

He started his career in the finance department of ITT Corporation and later earned his CPA credential while conducting entertainment industry audits for Coopers & Lybrand, LLP. David received his BS in Business Administration from the University of California Riverside and is a member of several entertainment industry organizations as well as the AICPA and California Society of CPAs.

Lois Wecker, C.P.A., Los Angeles

Lois Wecker has been a partner at Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GR&F") since 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Lois was a partner at Breslauer & Rutman, LLC. Lois obtained her extensive business management experience at Provident Financial Management and Breslauer, Jacobson, Rutman and Sherman.

Lois specializes in high net worth individuals and entertainment professionals including writers, producers, directors, actors, recording artists, composers, record companies, production companies and agents. She is also in charge of the firm's internal audit department. Lois has clients in Los Angeles as well as New York.

Lois is a graduate of UCLA with a bachelor's degree in political science. She also earned a master's degree in accounting from California State University Northridge. Lois is a member of the AICPA and the California Society of CPAs.

Lois resides in Sherman Oaks with her husband and two dogs.

New York Team

Ronald E. Nash, C.P.A., New York

Ron Nash joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GR&F) in October, 1979 as an intern in the firm's business management practice. Upon graduation, Ron joined the firm on a full-time basis and became a partner in 1988. Ron now serves as the Managing Partner of the GR&F New York offices and is a member of the firm's Executive Committee, where he provides business management, tax, and financial consulting services on a national level to high net worth individuals and high profile entertainers along with their closely-held businesses.

Ron has participated in all areas of the firm's activities with particular concentration in the financial affairs of clients in the fields of music, concert touring, acting, directing, modeling, writing and fashion design. Ron was invited to speak on the entertainment industry as a guest lecturer at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He has participated as a panelist in the New Music Seminar and has given a presentation on the entertainment industry to Internal Revenue Service representatives at their multi-regional meeting in Washington, D.C. In addition, Ron and has participated in many industry related philanthropic events for MusicCares, TJ Martell Foundation, and City of Hope and is a board member of the Leary Firefighters Foundation which was established by actor/comedian Denis Leary.

Ron graduated from the Stern Business School at New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Management. He is certified in the State of New York and is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPA's.

Ron and his wife Linda have three children and currently reside in Bedford, New York. His interests, in addition to music and films, include golf, tennis, travel, and assisting in local school and community activities.

Todd Kamelhar, C.P.A., New York

Todd Kamelhar earned his B.S. in accounting and M.S. in taxation from The State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany in 1990. Following graduation, Todd handled tax matters for international touring artists, entertainers and fashion companies at two separate business management firms. He joined the New York office of GR&F in 1993 and became partner in 2000.

Todd has a diverse roster of high-profile entertainment industry clients. He employs a hands-on approach in overseeing various aspects of their businesses, including touring, publishing administration and recording. In 2010, Todd combined his passion as a fan with the knowledge he obtained over the years at GR&F when he served as executive producer of the Billy Joel/NY Mets documentary film "The Last Play at Shea."

Todd has helped manage the growth of the GR&F fashion clientele. His fashion industry clients include world renowned photographers, make-up artists, models and fashion publications.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Todd currently resides on Long Island with his wife, Ellen, and their three children, Mark, Jake and Anna. He is active in the community, serving as a President and coach in the North Bellmore North Merrick Basketball League.

Christopher Fazzolari

Christopher Fazzolari

Christopher Fazzolari joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman in 2002 and currently co-heads the New York Royalty Examination Group.

Since joining the firm, Christopher has directed highly profitable domestic and international engagements on behalf of high-profile recording artists, songwriters, merchandise licensors and other intellectual property rights holders. His clients include many Multi-Platinum and Grammy award winning artists and Fortune 500 companies.

During his career, Christopher has conducted successful royalty, profit participation and joint venture examinations throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. The companies that he has examined include record labels, merchandising companies, digital media companies, music publishing companies, cable television networks and other companies. He also specializes in providing consulting services for contract negotiations, financial due diligence, valuations and royalty platform reviews.

Christopher received his BS in Finance from Towson University and is a member of the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) and Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA).

Christopher currently resides in Manhattan with his wife, Shannon, and their two children. In his leisure time he enjoys golf, travelling and cooking.

Stanley Lim

Stanley Lim has been a business manager for over 20 years and, with a very hands-on style, represents a stellar and varied roster of clients. His clients range from emerging artists and start-up companies to several iconic superstar artists.

Stanley's clients include recording artists, musicians, songwriters, literary and music publishers, composers, professional DJs, models, as well as theatrical, television and film writers, producers, directors and actors. With an array of clients in all facets of the entertainment industry and two decades of experience, his areas of expertise in the entertainment industry are as broad as his business acumen is deep.

Stanley joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman in 1996 and became a partner in 2004. Prior to joining GR&F, Stanley worked at a boutique business management firm in New York City specializing in television personalities and television production companies.

Stanley received his accounting degree from Baruch College and his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

When not working as a business manager, Stanley enjoys working on construction projects, rooting for the Yankees and watching any professional basketball game. His favorite activity is spending time with his wife and daughter in their Westchester home.

John Menneci

John Menneci

Managing Director

John Menneci joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (GRF) in 2001 and works out of its White Plains, New York office. He currently co-heads the New York arm of GRF’s New York Royalty Examination Group.

John specializes in conducting royalty examinations on behalf of prominent recording artists, songwriters and merchandise licensors and has over 20 year of experience in this field. He has travelled across the globe to conduct examinations on behalf of the firm’s clients and has audited an array of different licensees in both the physical and digital space with great success. John also specializes in conducting due diligence and valuations in connection with copyright acquisitions and estate tax matters.

He is an active member of several trade organizations such as: Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) and Copyright Society of the USA (CSUSA). John is a 1993 graduate of S.U.N.Y. Binghamton and received a Master’s Degree from Baruch College in 1996.

John was raised in Brooklyn and now currently resides in Chappaqua, New York. In his spare time, John enjoys golf, running, skiing and traveling to tropical locations.

Mario Testani, C.P.A., New York

Mario Testani joined Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman ("GR&F") in the New York business management practice in 1981 and became a partner in 1988. He graduated with honors from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1977, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting. Prior to joining GR&F, Mario began his career with an accounting position at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center followed by several years on the audit staff of the New York State Comptroller's office. In this role, he performed and supervised audits on Fortune 500 companies, banking organizations and municipalities.

Mario represents a diverse group of high profile clients including songwriters, touring artists, actors, writers and television personalities. He provides his clients with sound financial advice in all aspects of their business and financial activities. Mario's particular areas of expertise include music publishing, recording, concert tours, film and television, with particular attention to growth, preservation of capital and tax considerations. Mario also oversees the firm's insurance and tour department personnel.

Mario is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPA's. He resides in Pound Ridge, New York with his wife, Mary and has two grown children who reside in Manhattan. He is an avid lover of nature, the outdoors, antique clocks and enjoys motorcycle touring.

Richard 'Rick' Fisher Jr., C.P.A., Nashville

Richard "Rick" Fisher Jr.

Rick Fisher joined the Nashville office of Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman (GR&F) in 2014 as a result of the merger between GR&F and Haber Corporation. Prior to the merger Rick had worked with Haber Corporation since 1996.

Rick is involved in the business and financial affairs of his clients that include songwriters, performers, producers, industry executives and athletes. He advises clients on the management of their day-to-day business and financial affairs with the ultimate goal of their long-term financial well-being.

Rick resides in Nashville with his wife, Rosemary and their eight children. He received his BS in Accounting from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. In his leisure time he enjoys sports and the outdoors.
